General
This piece was commissioned by the owners of Azul Bar y Cantina. They had seen me painting in the Strip District on Blumengarten Flowers and asked about painting a mural on their business. Angus one of the owners, had an uncle that was a large influence on his life, so he wanted to memorialize him on the side of the restaurant. There are 3 other murals spanning the entire length of the wall.
Process
Working with the owners of the restaurant and an old photograph of the owners uncle, this piece was created to embody the free spirit of the subject. the color blue was a prevalent design element inside the restaurant and used to reflect back on the businesses name.
