Edie Sedgwick & Fire Finch @ Mo Gear, Created in 2016 (~15 hours to complete)
General
I had wanted to get some of my work up in this part of town. I approached several storefronts and offered to create a mural at no cost to the owner. Several turned me down, but the owner of Mo Gear was kind enough to let me paint on the rolling garage door.
Note: This mural is only visible when the store is closed.
Process
This piece was born from various source media found in my studio. The finch was originally purple as well, but was changed color to contrast with the portrait.

If you’re planning a trip to see this mural. The Whitfield inside the Ace Hotel is a favorite of Raymer’s for all meals of the day (they serve brunch every day until 3pm). The nitro cold brew coffee at the Stumptown coffee kiosk inside the Ace is frequently consumed by Raymer as well.
