Work Title
Dragons @ Gi-Jin, Commissioned in 2019 (~400+ hours to complete)
General
This piece was commissioned by Richard DeShantz for his raw bar restaurant concept Gi-Jin. Process
Working collaboratively with DeShantz during the design process Raymer drew inspiration from traditional Japanese dragon motifs. Once the concept was finalized the process of creating the mural itself began. Unlike Raymer’s typical spray painted murals, this work was created almost exclusively with paint pens. The size and visual complexity of this piece required much more time than any of his previous works.
See This Piece in Person
The mural in its entirety is only visible during the restaurants business hours, but can be seen partially from the street as the front of the restaurant has a large glass window.
